Member Highlights

Homer Johns was recognized at the March 2017 monthly membership meeting of the McLean Volunteer Fire Department for his 50 years of service. He is the only member of the McLean Department who has served in every elected position — chief, assistant chief, president, vice president, treasurer, secretary, and as a member of the Board of Directors for 27 consecutive years. He also served as Battalion Chief, at the request of the county Fire Chief. Homer’s commitment to the fire service and to the community is extraordinary.
